Nick and Jane
An Engagement Session
____________________

This morning, Nick and Jane met me at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL for their engagement session. These two are incredibly sweet, kind, and fun people. Just by watching them interact this morning, I could tell how in love they are. The weather was a little bit chilly, but the sun was shining brightly (a complete one-eighty from the forecast for the day). Once we started taking photos, it didn't feel so cold :)

Never before have I had this happen to me, but as we were taking one of the photos, I realized that a bird had pooped on my camera right by my shutter release and shutter speed controls :( YUCK!!!! At least we had something to laugh about though.

Thanks for meeting me out this morning, Nick and Jane - I'm truly excited for the wedding day!! :)

I spent Sunday afternoon with Patti and her family at the park just outside of the Prairie Center for the Arts in Schaumburg, IL. Patti has been a long time friend of my mother's, so it was a great honor for me to photograph she and her family :)

Thank you so much everyone for a lovely afternoon!!

Scot & Kristin
September 20, 2008
____________

I first met Scot when I photographed some live photos of his Band Munroe about a year ago (give or take). He and his band have been amazing people to work with and to get to know. Scot's wedding only proved this even more :)

In taking photographs of Scot and his new bride, Kristin, I have been privileged to get to know two incredibly caring, kind, thoughtful, loving and grateful people I could ever hope to meet in my lifetime.

The happy couple chose the Anderson Japanese Gardens in Rockford, IL for their ceremony and reception site. I could not have asked for a more beautiful and serene location for a photographic background.

Normally, I am partial to black and white photos. For this wedding, however, the scenery was simply too lovely to take the color away. Enjoy a quick peak at the newlyweds' photos.

Congratulations to you both!
