Because it's been so long...
and because I needed a breather!

A view from the birdie
August 6, 2009
______________

It's been a while since I posted photos from the sky, so I thought I'd share with you my morning from yesterday...

Our beautiful sunrise!

I never knew Busse Woods was so large and so beautiful until I started flying over it!

Sears... er uh... wet willie tower
You can see the new observation windows sticking out to the right.

Lollapalooza a day before the festivities began

Lollapalooza again, this time from the East

WGN's new birdie and its pristine paint job!

The boat at the top was being used for a terrorist attack drill, directed by some government agency (I forget if it was the FBI or something else). Shortly after the photo was taken, we were asked to leave the air space.

Sweet home, Chicago!! :)

Kim's Kiss 'N' Makeup
A shoot for the artists in my life
August 1, 2009

____________

Last Saturday, I helped my friend Kim Charbonneau create some images for her soon-to-be-launched website. She is just launching her own business which she's named Kim's Kiss 'N' Makeup.

A special thanks to all of the women and kiddos who donated their time for this event. An even more special thanks to Cheryl Uthe and last minute fill in, Trish, for their amazing hair styling work. Finally, a special thanks to Wendy Alas and to Chad Headley for their assistance and for their video footage.

See below the video for photos :)

Chad is still working on his video footage, but Wendy's put together just a fun quick clip to give you a taste:

Chris and Laura
Their Engagement Session
August 2, 2009
____________

Well, I've done it again. I've managed to become incredibly fond of my clients and have begun an amazing friendship with them BEFORE the wedding! Chris and Laura are absolutely amazing, fun, sweet, beautiful, and thoughtful people (and that doesn't even begin to describe them).

We headed over to Cantigny park in Winfield, IL to shoot their engagement session and ended up sidetracking in conversation rather than taking pictures on several occasions. Chris shared with me his wealth of knowledge on so many different things, and even introduced a brand new light that I plan on having in hand VERY soon for my photography. I'm SO excited about it!

The three of us went out to dinner afterward - it's as though we'd been friends for ages - I LOVE these two!!!

Congrats Chris and Laura! Thank you SO much for everything yesterday - you made me smile so much! I'll see you at your wedding AND after that too of course!

xoxo

I even joined the fun in playing with shadows - I'm the shadow to the right :)
