As Wedding Season Approaches...
________________

I just wanted to make a quick announcement. I have made a small change in the way I will be handling wedding photography... well... sort of.

Lately I've been feeling the desire and need to give to the community however I can. From now on, every wedding booked through me (including those which have yet to be shot) will have a donation made in their honor to a charitable cause.

I've chosen two different charities to donate to, and am in the process of researching a few more.
My life has been touched with situations from both of these causes, so I feel an intrinsic need to support each of them. Charities include The Prevent Cancer Foundation, and The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. These are both charities with outstanding ratings as far as the way they handle their operations (i.e. more donated funding goes back to the cause versus to the administration).

For more information, please use the above links to read about each charity.

Dallas - as previously promised :)
_________________

I know that I promised pictures from my trip some time ago. I honestly just needed a bit of a breather from photography, and opted to focus on piano for a little while instead (except for the shoots where people were counting on me, like Tracylyn).

Here are a few of the images from my Dallas trip. I'm sure you'll find a lot of them are quite 'touristy.' I really was just goofing around with Lori :)

Oh, and by the way - a few things about Dallas:

1) Cacti don't exist naturally. You have to go further south for that... well, except for one or two that were planted at the botanical gardens.

2) Folks in Dallas love their bridges

3) It's the only place on the planet that has Lori. She rocks.

A Change
_____

As of yesterday, I am the new helicopter camera operator for NBC 5 Chicago. After being with ABC for a year, there was an opening for a camera operator position for NBC offered to me. I accepted.

I will maintain my schedule as normal with this change.

Thank you to everyone at ABC for a wonderful learning experience. Best of luck to you all!
