John & Nena
Negril, Jamaica
April 25, 2005
______________

I had the pleasure and good fortune to be invited (along with my boyfriend) to Jamaica to shoot a destination wedding for John and Nena :) So many wonderful memories were made during this trip, that I simply cannot thank the two of them enough for their generosity and kindness.

So many more photos are in my collection and still unedited, but the following are a sampling of my favorites thus far. I'm sure there will be other pictures that I will later wish that I would have included.

The four days spent in Jamaica really felt like at least a week (in the best way possible). While this trip was first and foremost a photo shoot, Nena and John made it a very huge point to make sure that Liam and I both enjoyed at least a day or two of fun - we swam at the beach, snorkeled, went on a booze cruise with the entire group... :) I think what made everything so much more fun was that a lot of the guests went to high school with me and Liam (my boyfriend). It was like a reunion of sorts.

Nena and John - the fun we had because of you both was priceless!

Anyway - the day of the wedding was a little bit hectic - I'm not going to lie. I think everyone was so relaxed and on this island time thing, that we just lost track of time. The ceremony started a little behind schedule, the dj didn't have any music, I didn't have time to take some of the pictures that were supposed to be taken (and we'll make that up as soon as you have time, Nena!!!).

The important thing, however, is that everyone had a great time, the food at the reception was amazing, Nena started feeling better after a brief visit with the resort doctor, nobody got sunburn that was too horrific, money stolen from the rooms (so sorry about that Vanessa!!) wasn't as bad as it could have been, all of the pictures made it safely back to the states, AND none of my equipment was stolen. :)

John and Nena - you two are such wonderful, fun, generous and amazing people. I truly wish you all the happiness in the world. I look forward to seeing you both again, as well as the rest of the gang. I think that's the best part about this trip; the new friends :)

Congratulations!
