Pianoforte Chicago
Saturday, January 30, 2010

A couple of weekends ago, my piano teacher, Alexander Djordjevic, played a four hand piano piece with pianist Brenda Huang in Chicago for the Pianoforte Foundation. Combined with the setting, acoustics, and appreciative audience, these two beautifully performed Schubert's Divertimento for 4 hands in G Minor, Op. 54, D. 818, "À l'hongroise." It was truly a treat, as always, to get to hear Alex perform, and even more so alongside such a talented performer as Ms. Huang.

If you missed out on the Pianoforte performance, PLEASE come show your support on Sunday, February 28th. Alex will be performing at Steinway of Chicago in Downer's Grove, IL at 3pm. His performance is scheduled to include:

Für Alina by Arvo Pärt

Metamorphosis Two, by Philip Glass

Ballade No. 1 in G minor, Op. 23, by Frederic Chopin

Sonata in F minor, Op. 57 "Appassionata", by Ludwig van Beethoven

Twelve Etudes, Op. 10 (complete), by Frederic Chopin

And so... without further ado, here are some photos from the Pianoforte performance. Thanks again, Alex, for the wonderful and priceless gift of music you continue to give.
