My New Little Friend
___________

I needed some company, so today I brought home a little bengal kitten. He still doesn't have a name, but I'm working on it! Any suggestions?

**UPDATE**
I've named the little guy Miu (pronounced mmm-ewwww).

The Bigger Picture
_____________

Hi, everyone.

I am writing a very special blog to ask you all for your help. Last fall, a former classmate of mine passed away suddenly. In celebration of her life, and to help prevent others from being taken too soon, Courtney Ksepka's friends have organized a heart walk on September 26, 2009 (Courtney's birthday). The money raised from this event will go towards research on heart disease.

PLEASE take a look at the website created in Courtney's memory, and donate to a cause that could someday benefit someone that you love.

I am proud to announce that this will be one of the many causes I will support this photography season in an effort to continue in my commitment to give back to the bigger picture in life.

Judy and Family
March 7, 2009

_______________

Last Saturday, I didn't want to leave after photographing a family portrait session with Judy and her family. Between the laughter and the conversations had with everyone, I found myself wanting to adopt this family!

Judy, thank you so much again for asking me to capture memories of your wonderful family. I hope that you cherish these images for years to come :)

Jesse Harris, Meiko, Joshua Radin,
and special appearance by Zach Braff

Park West - Chicago, IL
Tuesday, March 3, 2009

________________________

Last night was a rarity in performance. The stage at Park West in Chicago was shared by three very talented artists, along with their musician friends (i.e. Joshua Radin's band). To make everything even more unique, one of my favorite actors (and everything else that he is behind the scenes) made a cameo appearance - Zach Braff.

I was making some notes on my blackberry when he walked out, and heard all kinds of squealing girls when he came on stage. When I looked up, he was just a few feet away from me. I had no idea what was going on at first, but then I realized who he was, and grabbed my camera to take photos. Now I kind of feel like a photo 'slut' from it... sorry, Mr. Braff... I suck.

Anyway, the main thing I want to stress about last night's venue is just how personable the setting is. It was the second time that I've seen/shot a show at Park West, and was very much like the Kaki King show I recently shot; the audience felt like a very large group of friends.

Finally, these photos were shot for the Chicago Music Guide. I was recently named the lead photographer for the publication, and am very honored at the 'upgrade.' Thank you Dennis :)

And now for some pictures!
